AWANA

AWANA begins for the 2008-09 year on Sunday, September 7th.  Please register early on Sunday morning, August 31st, or Sunday, morning September 7th in the church foyer.

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered, youth organization that provides weekly clubs and programs. AWANA believes that understanding and memorizing God's Word is the key to winning the battle against sin.

The acronym "AWANA" comes from the first letters of the phrase, "Approved workmen are not ashamed." 2 Timothy 2:15. Each week, children in kindergarten through sixth grade participate in activities, a Bible lesson and handbook time.

With their handbook, each child is encouraged to memorize Bible verses, learn the Gospel message and complete Bible-centered activities.

AWANA meets on Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning September 7th and ending with an awards banquet in early May. To learn more about AWANA, please contact Tom Stauffer.
