Disciplemaking Ministries Parental Discipling Resources

“Love God, your God, with your whole heart: love Him with all that's in you, love Him with all you've got! Write these commandments that I've given you today on your hearts. Get them inside of you and then get them inside your children.”
- Deuteronomy 6:6-7

Dear Parent/Guardian,

One of the greatest joys in my life is to personally invest in my children so they become passionate, life-long followers of Jesus. But the responsibility can appear at times to be monumental. I believe what children need the most are parents/guardians who are passionate followers themselves. How are you doing in your personal journey with Jesus? I want to help you plug in with the various ministries here aimed at adults. But I also want to help you help your children. God has blessed you with the privilege of training your children and has given you the inside track to doing it. To assist you in the process, I’ve compiled a list of resources some have found helpful. If you have some good resources, please pass them along, and be sure to check back as I will be updating these.

May you know His incredible joy and blessing as you love God with all your heart and help your child do the same!

Pastor Eric

Bibles:
Below are a couple of suggested Bibles for different ages. These are suggestions based on two criteria. First is the accuracy to the original languages and second is for its ability for the age to understand and apply it. As you consider purchasing a Bible investigate the differences in translation, paraphrase and versions. Follow the link http://www.zondervan.com/Cultures/en-US/Product/Bible/About+Bible+Translations.htm?QueryStringSite=Zondervan to read more on this topic. Just be sure as you choose one, you are confident in what is on the inside as opposed to just how cool it looks on the outside!
