Children Jesus loves children! As a body of believers, we place an emphasis on encouraging the next generation. Whether it is in full time education at Nittany Christian or in weekly fun at the AWANA program, we place importance on the spiritual growth of our kids.
MEGA Sports CampMEGA Sports Camp is a week-long summer camp held at State College Alliance Church. At MEGA Sports Camp kids will be taught how athletic discipline can make a difference in their physical and spiritual lives. This year's MEGA Sports Camp will feature soccer, basketball, baseball, and cheerleading and will be run from July 26-30.
Pre-SchoolOur pre-school ministry provides a fun, loving, encouraging environment for kids aged two through five to learn about Jesus. Pre-school teaching is offered during both the 9:00 and 10:45 tracks and involves music, crafts, Bible lessons, and lots of other engaging and constructive activities. To learn more about our Pre-School program, please contact Bill Jester.
Grade School - Route 252"Route 252", our grade-school ministry, offers dynamic, Bible-based teaching to kids from Kindergarten through Fifth grade during the 10:30-11:45 track. This ministry includes both a small group and large group component -- kids connect with a consistent adult leader in a small group of their age peers and also participate in an energetic, large group program with music, drama, and story telling. Through these two components kids are taught a monthly virtue from the Bible then encouraged to live that virtue out in their own lives. For more information about the Route 252 ministry please contact Bill Jester.
AWANAAWANA is an international, Bible-centered, youth organization that provides weekly clubs and programs. AWANA believes that understanding and memorizing God's Word is the key to winning the battle against sin. The acronym "AWANA" comes from the first letters of the phrase, "Approved workmen are not ashamed." 2 Timothy 2:15. Each week, children in kindergarten through sixth grade participate in activities, a Bible lesson and handbook time. With their handbook, each child is encouraged to memorize Bible verses, learn the Gospel message and complete Bible-centered activities. AWANA meets on Sunday evenings from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning in September and ending in April. To learn more about AWANA, please contact Tom Stauffer.
